How do I get there?

Calvary Baptist Church is located in Bastrop, TX, just west of Bastrop State Park. We are conveniently located on TX-150 Loop @ External link opens in new tab or window3005 TX-150 Loop, External link opens in new tab or windowBastrop, TX 78602.

What should I wear?

This is one of the most common questions people ask.  We do not have a standard church dress code, but generally speaking people come in casual or business casual clothes. Our church has people from all ages and a variety of backgrounds, so come as you are. We look forward to seeing you, not what you are wearing.

What is the difference in the Classic and Modern worship service?

The only difference in the two services is the style of music.  Both services have the same teaching, a similar format and the same welcoming and loving environment.  The Classic Service is primarily hymns led by our choir.  The Modern services are primarily modern songs led by our worship team.  If you are not sure which service is best for you, we invite you to check them both out.

What do I do with my children?

While your children are more than welcome to stay with you during our service, we have an exciting ministry for children.  We have something for your children during all of our worship services and Bible study times.  When you arrive, one of our greeters will help you find a place for all of your kids.

What kind of church is Calvary Baptist Church?

Calvary is an autonomous church that affiliates with the Southern Baptist Convention, Southern Baptist of Texas Convention and the Bluebonnet Baptist Association.  As an autonomous church we make all decisions for our church.  We choose our staff, our ministries, our beliefs and our facilities.  We choose to affiliate with these organizations because we align with their theology and are able to be a part of the largest mission organization in the world.

What does Calvary believe?

Calvary is a Christian church, so we look to the teaching of Jesus and the Bible for the foundation of what we believe.  You can find our statement of faith here.
